Who is the Transglide suitable for?

How is the Transglide used?
The patient is carefully turned onto their side, and the Transglide is positioned underneath the draw sheet. The patient is then returned to a supine position on the transfer board.
Using a draw sheet, two caregivers perform a controlled lateral transfer by gently pulling the patient across the Transglide while maintaining proper patient support and alignment. This technique enables a smooth, safe, and low-friction transfer with reduced physical effort.
When the Transglide is used upside down, the patient can remain positioned directly on the board for repositioning procedures or diagnostic imaging examinations. This is particularly useful in radiology, where the patient may remain on the Transglide during X-ray procedures.

What is the maximum weight capacity of the Transglide?
Depending on the model, the Transglide has a safe working load of 200 kg to 220 kg, making it suitable for the transfer of a wide range of patients, including bariatric patients within the specified load limits.
How do I clean and disinfect the Transglide?
The Transglide can be cleaned using warm soapy water and dried with a soft cloth.
For disinfection, SAMARIT recommends medical-grade disinfectants such as Incidin® OxyWipe by ECOLAB or equivalent healthcare-approved disinfectant products.
Do not use chlorine-based or highly concentrated cleaning agents, as these may damage the material.
